Atlanta Falcons interview Bills interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady for head coach

The Atlanta Falcons conducted a virtual interview with Buffalo Bills interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady for their head coach opening on Saturday, the Falcons announced.
The interview came a day after the Falcons reportedly requested permission to interview Brady.
The Falcons also completed a virtual interview with Rams offensive coordinator Raheem Mostert on Saturday and were scheduled to interview Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.
Under NFL rules, the interview had to be conducted virtually before the conclusion of the divisional playoff weekend. Candidates can interview in person beginning Monday, if their team has completed its season.
According to CBS Sports, Brady also interviewed after the 2020 season for the Falcons' head-coaching opening before the team hired Arthur Smith, who lasted three seasons before being fired.
Brady joined the Bills in 2022 as quarterbacks coach and was promoted to interim offensive coordinator at midseason this year following the firing of Ken Dorsey. The Bills have won seven of their eight games since Brady was promoted and host Kansas City on Sunday in a divisional playoff game.
“I think Joe does a great job listening to the things Josh (Allen) wants especially and we have extra meetings to quickly go over what we like and what we don’t like,” tight end Dawson Knox said last week. “That two-way communication with the players has been awesome.”
Brady, who is only 34, could prove attractive to a team such as the Falcons, which is in need of a quarterback. Brady also remains the Bills' quarterbacks coach.
The Falcons have conducted two interviews with former Patriots coach Bill Belichick and are scheduled to meet with him again. The team is said to be arranging a second interview with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. The list of other candidates who have interviews: Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Ravens offensive coordinator Mike MacDonald, Ravens defensive line coach Steve Weaver and 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks. Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik was scheduled to interview Sunday.
